Our Research Fellow colleagues will once again be recognized at Memorial Sloan-Kettering's Academic Convocation. Established in 2003, the Research Fellow Award acknowledges the accomplishments and promise of two outstanding Research Fellows or Research Associates. The award will be announced at Memorial Sloan-Kettering's Academic Convocation and a prize of $2,000 will be presented to each awardee. The recipients will be chosen by the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Awards Committee.
Nomination Criteria
- The fellow will have completed at least one year of training at Memorial Sloan-Kettering, as of the date of nomination.
- The nominee will be a fellow both at the time of nomination and at the time the award is conferred.
- The fellow is an author on a publication in which he or she is the lead author or has made a significant contribution.
- The fellow will have demonstrated distinctive promise for independent, creative research.
Nomination Process
- A laboratory head may nominate only one Research Fellow or Research Associate.
- Nomination letter from the lab head is required. The letter should include highlights of the fellow's accomplishments and describe the significance of his or her research project. The letter should also discuss the fellow's potential for future success as a creative, independent scientist.
- Supporting materials must include the fellow's CV and relevant publications. In press publications may be submitted.
