Fred's Team NYC Half-Marathon

The NYC Half-Marathon Presented by NIKE is scheduled for July 27, 2008.

Applying to the Marathon

Registration for Fred's Team is a two-part process -- you must sign-up with Fred's Team and the race separately. Registration for the NYC Half-Marathon Presented by NIKE is conducted via a lottery system -- applications are now available. Fred's Team registration will open later this spring.

Due to the popularity of this event, we encourage those runners interested in taking part to register as soon as possible. If you do not get into the race, we have a limited number of guaranteed entries. If you've run with us in the past, any outstanding pledges must be fulfilled in order to qualify for one of these spots.

Fundraising

After registering for Fred's Team online, you will be assigned your own personal Web page on the Fred's Team system. This page can be used for online fundraising. Visit our fundraising section, where you will find information about fundraising online, helpful tips, a pledge sheet, a sample fundraising letter, and tax identification information.

The fundraising commitment for this race is $1,500, which is due by Friday, July 13, 2008.

Note: Please call us at 800-876-7522 if you do not know, or have questions about, your Runner ID or Race Code. Please include your runner ID and race code on every check to ensure your pledge is properly credited.

Fundraising Deadline Policy

Funds for the NYC Half-Marathon Presented by NIKE are due on July 13, 2008. This deadline is in place to ensure that every runner fulfills his or her fundraising commitment. If funds are not received by the deadline, we reserve the right to cancel your entry with the respective marathon.

Amenities for Fred's Team

Fred's Team members who fulfill their commitment by the required fundraising deadlines will receive a Fred's Team uniform. Team members will also receive weekly newsletters including fundraising and training tips.

About the Race

The NYC Half-Marathon Presented by NIKE, an event in its third year, will start in Central Park, pass through Times Square, and continue along the waterfront to finish in Lower Manhattan.
