Research Interests
Breast cancer is the most common type of cancer among women. The specific cause of most breast cancers remains unknown, but the risk increases with age. Rho GTPases have been reported to participate at several different points in the mammalian cell cycle. It is has been suggested, therefore, that deregulation of these activities could contribute to tumorigenesis. I am interested in identify Rho family GEFs, GAPs and effectors that regulate the cell cycle in human breast cancer cells.
