Set for release nationwide in October 2009, the new cookbook will offer advice on how to celebrate in style with a compilation of sensational recipes, entertaining ideas, party-planning tips, and personal anecdotes from New York's most celebrated hostesses and members of The Society of Memorial Sloan-Kettering.

Organized by season, Park Avenue Potluck CELEBRATIONS serves up a year's worth of fabulous special occasions offering a sneak peek into the private homes and family celebrations at New York's most sought-after addresses. From Valentine's Day, Easter, Mother's Day, July 4, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and the Holiday season to anniversaries and birthday parties, the book shares heartfelt heirloom recipes and affordable entertaining ideas. The Society of Memorial Sloan-Kettering's first cookbook, Park Avenue Potluck, was published by Rizzoli in November 2007 and became a number-one best seller in three categories on Amazon.com. Edited by award-winning author and New York Times food contributor Florence Fabricant, the cookbook is a collection of more than 100 recipes from Society members and their families and friends. It features over 70 beautiful photographs by Ben Fink, as well as tips for entertaining from some of New York's savviest hostesses.

The Society is grateful to the outpouring of support from readers all across America and the media. Park Avenue Potluck gained national attention on NBC's The Today Show in November 2007 and was one of five cookbooks heralded for holiday gift-giving by Time magazine, Elle, The Huffington Post, and HeadButler.com. It was also named one of the "25 Most Noteworthy Cookbooks of 2007" by The New York Times. Park Avenue Potluck is currently in its third printing.
