Backup Childcare
We also have a backup childcare program to provide reliable, short-term childcare on those occasions when your usual childcare arrangements are not available (e.g., school holidays or caregiver is sick) and you need to get to work. Bright Horizons Family Solutions, a top-quality backup care service, has been selected to provide this care, for which postdoctoral research fellows are eligible. There is a co-payment charged for this service and each dependent is eligible for 20 days of care per year.
There are five Bright Horizons centers throughout Manhattan and in Jersey City, New Jersey. These centers are open from 8:00 AM to 5:45 PM and serve children between three months and 13 years of age. Through the Bright Horizons Backup Care Advantage program, additional centers as well as in-home backup care is available nationally.
