During Teen Group on Monday, March 4, 2002, our teens were asked what truths they find to be universal and what language they look to for encouragement. The following is a list of ideas/thoughts that they refer to during times of fulfillment or distress:
- People fear what they don't understand.
- Think before you speak.
- Don't judge a book by its cover.
- You can't achieve anything until you dream.
- Don't give up.
- There will be better days.
- Speak what's on your mind.
- Practice what you preach.
- Don't be quick to give advice.
- With great power comes great responsibility.
- Everything happens for a reason.
