During Teen Group on Monday, March 4, 2002, our teens were asked what truths they find to be universal and what language they look to for encouragement. The following is a list of ideas/thoughts that they refer to during times of fulfillment or distress:

  • People fear what they don't understand.

  • Think before you speak.

  • Don't judge a book by its cover.

  • You can't achieve anything until you dream.

  • Don't give up.

  • There will be better days.

  • Speak what's on your mind.

  • Practice what you preach.

  • Don't be quick to give advice.

  • With great power comes great responsibility.

  • Everything happens for a reason.
