Lindsay Jacks
Lindsay Jacks, MSc
Assistant Research Biostatistician

Current Research Interests

Ms. Jacks' clinical collaborations have been primarily with oncologists and surgeons in the Breast and Gastrointestinal Services. She has been involved in projects with Dr. Patil examining the risk of ipsilateral breast tumor recurrence in patients with DCIS, updating the current MSK nomogram for predicting individualized risk of having a positive sentinel lymph node in patients with invasive breast cancer, as well as investigating associations between PIK3CA mutations and disease-specific survival. With Dr. Gonen, she has been involved in projects comparing surgical outcomes and disease-specific survival between gastric cancer patients receiving treatment in Eastern vs. Western countries, as well as recurrence patterns and treatment options for cytology positive patients.

Ms. Jacks works closely with Dr. Elkin in Health Outcomes on projects using the SEER-Medicare National database to evaluate the determinants of prostate cancer treatment and outcomes using methods of population-based observational data analysis. She also collaborates on clinical studies within the Department of Radiation Oncology, the Neurology Service, and the Gynecological Oncology Group.

Ms. Jacks has an interest in competing risk analysis, nomogram development, and imputation and validation methods in the presence of competing risks. As well, Ms. Jacks is the Co-Editor of the bi-monthly Epidemiology and Biostatistics Departmental Newsletter (B.E.A.C.H.).
