Development Office
Development officers and the Office of Sponsored Projects grants management specialists collaborate to assist investigators in securing support for their research projects. The Development Office works closely with professional foundations to identify and obtain research funds for investigators, junior faculty, and research fellows and serves as Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center's liaison to many of the foundations that provide seed grants, which aid investigators in developing preliminary data and research results that may lead to future NIH funding.
Junior Faculty Council
Working in conjunction with the Junior Faculty Council, the Office of Sponsored Projects provides up-to-date funding opportunity announcements targeted to young or junior investigators and offers grant-writing and proposal development seminars and workshops. Composed of Memorial Sloan-Kettering physicians, the Junior Faculty Council advocates on behalf of the junior faculty (instructors, clinical assistant attendings, and assistant attendings) and regarding issues, including research that are, important to new and junior faculty members.
