Originally from Argentina, Kety earned her Masters from Universidad de Buenos Aires.  After working at the Children's Hospital in Virology and on AIDS detection and analysis programs for the government, she moved to New York city working at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Pediatric Infectious Diseases. From there, she moved into commercial research spending a decade at OSI Pharmaceuticals as a Research Scientist developing assays for high throughput drug discovery. After a short time at a New York start-up company, she recently joined Memorial Sloan-Kettering, reuniting with Dr. Heguy, a favorite colleague.
