Postdoctoral Research Scholar

A postdoctoral position is available in the Klein Lab in the Cancer Biology and Genetics Program at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City. Research in the Klein lab focuses on understanding how inherited genetic variants lead to an increased susceptibility to cancer, with an ultimate goal of applying this knowledge to improved diagnosis and treatment of cancer.

We are currently seeking a talented statistical geneticist to join our team and work on integrating genome-wide datasets to identify causal variants for cancer susceptibility and to understand their downstream effects.

Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center offers a highly competitive stipend and benefits package. For further information about postdoctoral training at Memorial Sloan-Kettering, see our Postdoctoral Training section.

Application Requirements

The successful applicant will have a doctoral degree; previous research experience in statistical genetics, genetic epidemiology, or human genetics; fluency with a programming language useful for computational biology work (e.g. C, C++, Perl, Java); and excellent communication and writing skills.

Interested candidates should send a CV, brief statement of research interests, and contact information for two references addressed to Robert J. Klein, PhD.
