Recent Interests

I am interested in the epidemiology of infections which occur in the setting of complex patients such as those with cancer. Complicated patients who have multiple pre-existing conditions represent a challenge to treat but also to study in clinical research. I am investigating new methods designed to examine infections within their natural clinical setting and to provide unbiased estimates of their impact on patient outcomes.
