Yashodhara Dash has been a licensing professional in the Office of Industrial Affairs since 2007.
She received her PhD degree in immunology from the University of Connecticut Health Center in 2007. Her educational background also includes an MBA degree from the University of Connecticut and an MBBS degree (with honors) from India's SCB Medical College. (An MBBS degree is equivalent to an MD degree.)
Prior to joining the Office of Industrial Affairs, Yashodhara worked as a graduate research assistant at the University of Connecticut Health Center, where she successfully identified a protein antigen that is involved in the immune response against filariasis and may be used to formulate a protective vaccine. In India, she worked as a pediatric resident and medical intern with major rotations in the medicine, surgery, obstetrics, and gynecology wards.
Yashodhara is a member of the Licensing Executives Society.
