SK 520. Novel Retro-Alpha-Retinol Derivatives and Their Uses

Summary of Invention

This invention provides a purified retro-retinoid compound characterized by a molecular mass of about 302 daltons. This invention also provides methods for enhancing transcription of a gene regulated by retinoids in a cell as well as methods for treating disorders characterized by vitamin A deficiency.
