Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center Unveils New Pressroom and Broadcast Studio

NEW YORK, NY, August 27, 2013

Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center today unveiled a new pressroom for journalists with enhanced features such as embargoed content for registered users and “trending topics” – a continually updated listing of story ideas and available experts to comment on the latest health news headlines.

In addition to the new pressroom, Memorial Sloan-Kettering also announced the availability of an on-site broadcast studio equipped with VideoLink’s ReadyCam® system, capable of transmitting high-quality HD video instantly to any news network around the world.

“The rapid, 24/7 pace at which our current news is delivered requires not only immediate accessibility on breaking news, but having a readily available network of experts to provide thought leadership on a wide range of cancer-related topics,” said Christine Hickey, Director of Communications at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. “We are excited to have the capability to offer our expertise and analysis more quickly and to a wider audience.”

Located at Memorial Sloan-Kettering’s main campus in Manhattan, the new broadcast studio will allow Memorial Sloan-Kettering’s vast network of physicians and scientists to comment on the latest medical breakthroughs as well as share important institutional research.
