Ethan M. Basch
I am a medical oncologist who specializes in treating patients with prostate cancer. An increasing number of treatment options are available for patients with this disease, including both FDA-approved drugs and therapies presently being evaluated in clinical trials. Our goal is to consider the latest scientific knowledge in light of each patient's own unique circumstances and preferences. In this way, we can develop a coordinated treatment plan.
My research focuses on developing ways to improve patient safety and symptom management through the use of new technologies and innovative administrative structures. My colleagues and I study ways to optimize the collection and analysis of adverse symptoms related to cancer treatment. I have also conducted work to assemble the best available scientific evidence around complementary and alternative therapies.
