Majid Maybody, MD
I am an interventional radiologist -- a board-certified radiologist who has special training in performing minimally invasive and non-invasive image-guided procedures. My primary clinical interest is to diagnose, treat, or palliate cancers and cancer-related problems in all areas of the body except the head and neck. I use a combination of different imaging modalities -- such as x-ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound, and PET -- to perform procedures. These tools enable me to see tumors without having to make incisions and to target them either through tiny hole(s) created in the skin or sometimes with no holes at all. Since I incur less damage during image-guided procedures, more healthy tissue is preserved, and patients recover faster. My academic and research interests are focused on promoting better image-guided interventions so that cancers and cancer-related problems can be addressed faster, more accurately, with greater safety, and with better results.
