I am a physician-scientist whose clinical focus is treating patients who have hematologic malignancies, and I have a particular expertise in allogeneic (donor-derived) hematopoietic stem cell transplantation.

My research has focused on the development of specific donor-derived immune cells (T-lymphocytes) to facilitate the treatment of viral complications of allogeneic bone marrow transplant and hematologic relapse following transplantation. This treatment approach has been termed "adoptive immunotherapy" and is actively being investigated in clinical trials here at Memorial Sloan-Kettering.
