Brett W. Cox, MD
I am a board-certified radiation oncologist with expertise in prostate cancer. I also specialize in tumors that have spread to the spinal column, eye cancers, bladder cancers, and testicular cancers. My goal is to optimimze the administration of radiation technologies in order to reduce side effects and improve outcomes in the treatment of these tumors.

I have specialized training in the use of prostate brachytherapy, episcleral plaque brachytherapy, and stereotactic body radiotherapy to treat tumors in the prostate, eyes, bones, soft tissues, and lymph nodes throughout the body, with minimal side effects.

My research includes investigating a novel treatment for localized prostate cancer called ultra-hypofractionated radiation therapy, in which high doses of external radiation are delivered to the prostate gland over a period of two weeks instead of the usual 8-1/2 weeks.

I have technical expertise in intensity-modulated radiation therapy; brachytherapy; image-guided radiation therapy; stereotactic body radiotherapy; and ultra-hypofractionated, image-guided, intensity-modulated radiation therapy for prostate cancer.
