Garrett M. Nash, MD, MPH
I am a surgeon with specialized training in cancers of the colon, rectum, anus, and appendix. The focuses of my practice include laparoscopic techniques for colorectal cancer, avoiding colostomy while preserving bowel, bladder, and sexual function, and the management of peritoneal surface malignancies (including pseudomyxoma peritonei).

My clinical research involves prospective clinical trials of new technology and surgical techniques for advanced colorectal and appendiceal malignancies, as well as optimizing surgical margins and lymph node retrieval for colon and rectal cancers.

I have authored papers on a variety of subjects including minimally invasive surgery, sphincter-sparing rectal surgery, mechanisms of tumor progression, and predictors of outcome following surgery. I serve as an instructor at Weill Cornell Medical College for other surgeons learning laparoscopic colon and rectal surgery.
