Philip A. Bialer, MD
I am a psychiatrist with expertise in the care and management of people with medical/surgical illnesses including cancer and HIV/AIDS. My work here focuses on teaching communication skills to non-psychiatric staff, and I am involved in research evaluating the effects of such training. In addition I have expertise in treating patients with substance use disorders and I plan to set up a clinic for the presurgical evaluation and treatment of patients with problems such as alcohol dependence.
