Erica H. Lee, MD
I am a board-certified dermatologist who specializes in Mohs micrographic, dermatologic, and laser surgery. Mohs surgery is an advanced surgical technique to precisely remove skin cancers while preserving the surrounding healthy tissue. My expertise includes prevention, diagnosis, and management of early-stage melanoma and non-melanoma skin cancers in high-risk patients utilizing total-body skin exams and total-body photography. I am also experienced in noninvasive modalities such as dermoscopy, confocal microscopy, and photodynamic therapy for the long-term management of high risk patients.
My research interest is in cutaneous oncology, notably in basal and squamous cell carcinomas. I am particularly interested in improving the early detection and management of aggressive skin cancers in immunosuppressed patients. These include recipients of organ-or bone marrow transplants, patients with hematologic or solid-organ malignancies, and patients on various chemotherapeutics and biologic modifiers. My goal is to better understand the effect of immmunosuppression on prognosis and treatment of aggressive skin cancers. I am also involved in research to utilize state-of-the art noninvasive technologies for early detection of skin cancer.
