Moshe Shike, MD
I am a board-certified gastroenterologist, internist, and nutritionist with a particular interest in cancer prevention, including the role that nutrition plays in the prevention and development of cancer. I joined Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in 1981 and am Director of Clinical Nutrition for the Center and past director of the Cancer Prevention and Wellness Program, which I established in 1997. I am also a professor of medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College.

My research focus is cancer prevention through nutrition and screening. Through many clinical studies I have examined screening for colorectal cancer and the role that diet and specific dietary factors play in the stages of cancer development. My research also includes studies on ways to best provide nutrition support in cancer patients.

With fellow gastroenterologist, Sidney Winawer, I wrote the book Cancer Free: The Comprehensive Cancer Prevention Program. I am also the author of more than 120 research studies.
