I am a surgical pathologist with a special interest in cancers of young people and the molecular biology of cancer. I am responsible for both tumor diagnosis and research. Our laboratory's major efforts are centered on identification and characterization of molecular alterations in human cancers that are responsible for clinically relevant features of the disease. We study cancers of the prostate, breast, and soft tissues and focus on changes in regulation of gene expression that contribute to cancer development. These research efforts are designed to provide detailed information useful for diagnosis, prognosis, and therapeutic design.
