I am a diagnostic radiologist who joined the attending staff at MSKCC in 1978. My clinical interests involve the use of imaging techniques such as CT, sonography, and MRI to diagnose cancer. Although my expertise is in the diagnosis of many types of cancer, I have a particular specialty in advanced breast cancer and lymphoma.
My research focuses on the application, evaluation, and comparison of these imaging techniques in cancer diagnosis. I have taught a course in chest radiology to radiology residents at New York Hospital for more than two decades, and I was Director of MSKCC's radiology education programs for ten years. I also directed the development of the Radiology Program at the Evelyn H. Lauder Breast Center/Iris Cantor Diagnostic Center, a pioneering outpatient facility that provides advanced care for breast cancer patients and high-tech diagnostic imaging for all types of cancer. I am currently the Director of the Radiology Program at that facility.
