Director, Critical Care Medicine Fellowship Program; Director, Critical Care Research
I am a board-certified internist, pulmonologist, and intensivist with special expertise in the fields of severe sepsis and acute respiratory failure. I joined the Memorial Sloan-Kettering staff in 1999 and currently direct the critical care medicine fellowship and research programs in the Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine. I serve as principal investigator for several clinical trials in septic shock and acute lung injury. In addition to my clinical and research activities at MSKCC, I am actively involved in critical care medicine at a national level with leadership positions in the Society of Critical Care Medicine and the American College of Chest Physicians. Most recently, I was the program co-chair of the 36th Critical Care Congress in 2007.
