Manish A. Shah, MD
I am a medical oncologist who specializes in the treatment of gastric (stomach) cancer, and I have a particular interest in new drug development. My colleagues and I are involved in clinical trials of new therapies for patients with locally advanced and metastatic gastric cancer. I am also involved in several clinical trials to evaluate novel drugs for their possible anti-tumor activities. In addition, my research involves understanding how it may be possible to overcome drug resistance. It was for this work that I recently received a Young Investigator Award from the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO.
