Hani Hassoun
I am a medical oncologist and hematologist with a particular interest in diseases of the blood. My laboratory research has focused mainly on benign blood diseases (non-cancerous problems of the blood such as hereditary conditions of the red cells, bleeding disorders, and blood-clotting abnormalities). My clinical effort is directed toward the treatment of patients with blood cancers, with a special interest in myeloma and lymphomas. With my colleagues at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, I am working to develop new and innovative ways to treat these malignant diseases.
