Susan E. Prockop
I am a pediatric oncologist who specializes in allogeneic and autologous bone marrow and stem cell transplantation. I treat children and young adults with hematologic malignancies as well as congenital and acquired diseases of hematopoeisis. My laboratory research focuses on the biology of thymic dependant T cell reconstitution. This process is essential to the development of a healthy immune system after a bone marrow or stem cell transplant. One goal of my research is to find ways to augment thymic function after transplantation.
