Jennifer S. Ford
I am a licensed psychologist who specializes in helping children, adolescents, and young adults and their families adjust to a diagnosis of cancer. I also assist survivors of childhood cancers and their families with the unique issues associated with survivorship, and I work closely with the Pediatric and Young Adult Long-Term Follow-Up Programs in the Department of Pediatrics.
My overall research goals are to understand the psychosocial aspects of cancer survivorship, with a primary focus on childhood, adolescent, and young adult survivors of childhood cancers. I conduct research addressing the psychological and behavioral issues relevant to childhood cancer survivors and their families. I am also interested in the psychological aspects of health promotion and disease prevention among youth.
I am available for one-time consultations or for psychotherapy through the MSKCC Counseling Center. For an appointment, please call the Counseling Center at 646-888-0100.
