Peter J. Allen, MD, FACS
The majority of my surgical practice is dedicated to treating patients who have cancerous or precancerous conditions of the pancreas, liver, and stomach. My practice incorporates minimally invasive (laparoscopic) techniques as well as other technologies in an effort to minimize the recovery time from these operations.
The focus of my current research is on developing more accurate nonsurgical tests for patients with cystic lesions of the pancreas as well as developing new and improved strategies for the treatment of patients with pancreatic cancer. I currently lead or participate in several MSKCC and national clinical trials evaluating novel methods of diagnosing and treating pancreatic malignancy.
