Tiffany A. Traina, MD
I am a medical oncologist with a clinical practice that is dedicated entirely to the care of patients with breast cancer. My research interests involve clinical trials and basic science correlative studies with the intention of improving treatment for all stages of breast cancer. Specifically, my work aims to develop better hormone therapies, improved chemotherapy drugs, more-effective and less-toxic methods of drug delivery, and newer targeted agents.
I also have a special interest in treating older patients with breast cancer, and collaborate with colleagues from other disciplines to study the unique needs of this population and the effects of aging on tolerance of chemotherapy. We also seek to develop tools that will allow physicians to predict how patients will tolerate treatment.
