Deputy Physician-in-Chief and Medical Director, MSKCC Regional Care Network
As Deputy Physician-in-Chief and Medical Director of the Regional Care Network for Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, I oversee and ensure the highest quality of multidisciplinary cancer care, expand clinical research protocols, and develop community and organizational collaborations at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering facilities in New York and New Jersey. I am also a board-certified gynecologic oncologist and have been caring for women with cancer since 1982.
I am involved in a number of governmental and non-profit initiatives to improve the care of women with cancer. I chair the New York State Breast and Cervical Advisory Council, and am a member of the state Ovarian Cancer Advisory Panel and Cancer Center Directors’ Committee. And in my role as an At-Large member of the Eastern Division Board of Directors of the American Cancer Society for the States of New York and New Jersey I am involved in healthcare advocacy work and initiatives in both states.
I am a peer reviewer for several medical journals, a grants reviewer for the National Cancer Institute of the NIH, and contribute to the efforts of the American Cancer Society, Society of Gynecologic Oncologists, the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and American College of Surgeons at regional as well as national levels. I have more than 20 publications in peer-reviewed journals and more than 100 medical presentations and poster sessions.
I am a Professor of Clinical Obstetrics and Gynecology at Cornell-Weill Medical School.
