Brain Tumor Center: 2012 Fellows

Part of the Brain Tumor Center’s mission is to ensure that young people are inspired to pursue careers in the sciences, particularly brain tumor research. In 2012, we were fortunate enough to secure faculty mentors to host eight medical students who contributed to our clinical trials and basic science research labs. In addition, for the third summer in a row, we hosted one undergraduate student from the American Indian Science and Engineering Society. Students worked with faculty and staff on individual projects and participated in neurosurgery operating room observations, attended neurology clinic, met with the BTC Executive Committee, and presented a poster of their research at the end of the summer.
