I am a reconstructive surgeon with expertise in reconstruction following surgery for the treatment of cancer. Using a variety of techniques, including microsurgical tissue transfer, implants, and local flaps, I aim to restore the appearance and function of cancer patients who have undergone surgery to remove tumors. My goal is to provide my patients with optimal cancer treatment while maintaining high standards for their quality of life.
I am involved in clinical research that evaluates patients’ perceptions of their quality of life after breast reconstructive surgery and head and neck reconstructive surgery. I have published and presented numerous scientific articles, most recently on the safety of implant-based reconstruction following mastectomy. I am currently directing a clinical trial evaluating different surgical techniques designed to improve postoperative pain after breast reconstructive surgery — research which has been generously funded by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.
