I am a diagnostic radiologist with special expertise in gastrointestinal malignancies, and I use cutting-edge methods (MRI, virtual colonoscopy, PET and CT scanning, CT enteroclysis, CT enterography, and barium studies) to diagnose and stage cancers of the esophagus, stomach, small intestine, and colon. I also serve as director of the Radiology Department's CT section and director of gastrointestinal radiology. I serve as Director of CT and Director of Gastrointestinal Radiology at Memorial Sloan Kettering.
As a member of the colorectal cancer Disease Management Team I collaborate closely with Memorial Sloan Kettering’s colorectal surgeons and gastroenterologists to accurately diagnose and stage colon cancer, malignant bowel obstruction, recurrent rectal cancer, and other gastrointestinal problems. I very much enjoy working with patients, and learn as much as I can from them about their symptoms to aid my interpretation of their images. I also enjoy explaining the imaging findings to patients to give them a better understanding of their illness.
