For your convenience, Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center’s preferred method of payment is to deposit your salary or stipend in the bank account of your choice. The forms for Direct Deposit can be found here.
If you need to establish an account in New York, Chase and Citibank both provide free accounts (no fees) when you sign up for direct deposit.
Citibank
A Citibank branch is conveniently located at 1330 First Avenue (at 71st Street). To open a new Citibank account, you will need to present a letter of introduction on Memorial Sloan-Kettering letterhead that states your name, current position, and address. It is important that this letter is signed and dated within 30 days of the date on which you want to open the account. You can obtain a letter of introduction by contacting Hilda Figueroa via e-mail at figueroh@mskcc.org. You will be required to present your passport as photo identification when you open your account.
Citibank's hours of operation are:
- Monday through Friday: 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM
- Saturday: 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM
- Sunday: Closed

Chase Manhattan Bank
The nearest Chase branch is located at 1324 York Avenue (between 70th and 71st Streets). There is another branch located at 1180 Second Avenue (at 62nd Street). No minimum balance is required for opening an account here. The Chase At Work Program for Memorial Sloan-Kettering employees offers:

To open an account with Chase, Memorial Sloan-Kettering employees must present two forms of valid identification at a local branch, one of which may be your employee ID. The other form should be either a valid driver's license or passport.
