Immigrant Health & Cancer Disparities Service: Ventanillas de Salud (Health Windows) at the Mexican Consulate

Ventanillas de Salud (Health Windows) was created by the Mexican Consulate as a collaboration between government and private organizations to eliminate barriers to healthcare in New York City’s growing Mexican American population.

Our Services

Memorial Sloan Kettering’s Immigrant Health and Cancer Disparities Service partners with the Mexican Consulate to provide patient education and referrals to primary care and other healthcare providers through the following:

  • Health fairs at the Mexican Consulate and throughout New York City
  • Case management
  • Assistance with enrollment in health insurance plans
  • Free cancer screenings and referrals

We are also working to combat cervical cancer in the Mexican community, through referrals for Pap testing and programs to increase human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination rates.
