Research Interests

My research interests focus on the question of cell lineage development in the mammalian blastocyst stage embryo. I am exploiting mouse embryos and embryo-derived stem cells as tools to address this question. Specifically, my work focuses on the roles of FGF signaling and Sox transcription factors in the specification and maintenance of the primitive endoderm cell lineage.
