I received my PhD in biochemistry and biophysics from the Institute of Biophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. I then joined the Roswell Park Cancer Institute as a postdoctoral fellow where I studied the regulation of Mdm2 ubiquitination and the p53 response by NEDD4-1 E3 ligase. In March 2014, I joined the Chiosis lab at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. In the Chiosis lab, I am interested in understanding mechanisms associated with Hsp70 in cancer, specifically those that relate to evasion of apoptosis. In addition, I am using my broad experience in protein purification and in the study of protein interactions to investigate the Hsp70-interactome in cancer through a chemical biology approach developed by my chemistry colleagues.
