Deanna Gutierrez

Deanna Gutierrez is a full-time research technician for Dr. Mary Goll’s laboratory at the Sloan-Kettering Institute. She holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from Stony Brook University and a master’s degree in developmental biology from CUNY at Queens College. Her graduate research experience involved the use of the zebrafish model system to characterize the early development of the epicardial layer of the heart. She is currently involved in a genetic screen to identify proteins involved in transcriptional silencing in vertebrates.
