Currently, more than 500 postdocs from many different countries are doing research in our laboratories. Within this vibrant community, there are plenty of opportunities to socialize, enjoy leisure activities, and play an active role in improving the professional and collegial environment for our postdocs.
The Memorial Sloan-Kettering Postdoctoral Association
Since 2005, the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Postdoctoral Association (MSK-PDA) has been working to enhance the quality of the postdoctoral experience at Memorial Sloan-Kettering. The MSK-PDA is a board of postdoctoral scientists who are chosen through annual elections and work collaboratively with the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs, postdocs at the neighboring institutions (The Rockefeller University and the Weill Cornell Medical College) and other postdoc associations in the New York area.
The MSK-PDA maintains an active schedule of social events, sports activities, and fundraising initiatives to encourage interactions within our postdoctoral community. The MSK-PDA also advocates for the rights and interests of postdoctoral researchers, and helps develop new policies for postdoctoral training, professional development, compensation, and benefits.
