Research & Technology Management: Grants & Contracts

Grants and Contracts manage the pre-award administration of research grants and contracts funded by federal, state, and private agencies.

Grants management specialists assist established investigators, junior faculty, and research fellows in identifying funding opportunities and in obtaining support for their research projects. Grants management specialists help with the preparation, review, and submission of applications. Grants and Contracts staff works closely with administrators and investigators to ensure that proposals and awards comply with Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center’s policies and procedures, and the funding agency’s instructions, guidelines, and regulations.

Grants and Contracts hosts e-clinics, workshops, and seminars to help develop grant-writing skills and experience. As funding agencies move from paper to e-applications, Grants and Contracts offers information and training about electronic research administration, including Grants.gov, NIH erA Commons, Cayuse424, and Grants Central (Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center’s e-solution for managing research proposals and awards).
