Research & Technology Management: Research Compliance Offices

Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center's Office of Research and Project Administration works with the following compliance offices to ensure that proper research protocols are maintained.

  • Animal Care: IACUC & RARC
    The Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) and the Research Animal Resource Center (RARC) oversee Memorial Sloan-Kettering’s Animal Care and Use Program to ensure that animals are used ethically in research.
  • Grants & Contracts Accounting
    Grants and Contracts handles all external financial reporting related to extramurally funded grants and contracts, including all financial status reports for NIH awards.
  • Conflict of Interest
    Our Policy on Financial Conflict of Interest and Conflict of Commitment is designed to ensure the integrity and objectivity of research, education, clinical judgment, and business decision-making at Memorial Sloan-Kettering.
  • IRB: Human Subjects Research
    Memorial Sloan-Kettering ‘s Institutional Review Board (IRB)/Privacy Board protects the rights, welfare, and privacy of human research participants. Proposals and awards involving human subjects require IRB review and approval.
  • BioSafety
    Our Biosafety Service provides and enforces a safe, healthful work environment for staff. The Biosafety Officers maintain chemical inventories from all clinical research laboratories and core facilities that use or store hazardous chemicals.
