To support its research activities, the Center for Stem Cell Cell Biology (CSCB) has developed strong relationships with several core facilities and translational labs.
Memorial-Sloan Kettering supports 36 core facilities to facilitate its programs of research. The CSCB is closely involved with the following:
Mark Tomishima, MD, Director
Lorenz Studer, PhD, Supervisor
The Sloan-Kettering Institute stem cell research facility was initially established with support from the Starr Foundation funded Tri-Institutional Stem Cell Initiative. The facility is also support by NYSTEM through a shared resource facility grant.
Hakim Djaballah, PhD, Director
Katia Manova, PhD
The CSCB also collaborates closely with the Center for Cell Engineering. The Center for Cell Engineering, with support from the Gene Transfer and Somatic Cell Engineering Facility, focuses on the translation of stem cell approaches into cell therapies.
Michel Sadelain, MD, PhD, Director
Isabelle Rivière, PhD, Director
Additional stem cell facilities are available through the Tri-Institutional Stem Cell Initiative, a collaborative program of Memorial Sloan-Kettering, The Rockefeller University, and Weill Cornell Medical College.
