FOLFOX

An abbreviation for a chemotherapy combination used to treat colorectal cancer. It includes the drugs leucovorin calcium (folinic acid), fluorouracil, and oxaliplatin. FOLFOX regimens include FOLFOX-4, FOLFOX-6, modified FOLFOX-6 (mFOLFOX-6), and FOLFOX-7. They differ depending on the doses and ways in which the three drugs are given. Also called FOLFOX regimen.
