This fellowship consist of 32 weeks of breast imaging and 6 weeks elective.
The hospital sees over 3000 new breast cancers per year and performs 76,000 breast imaging studies annually, including 2,900 radioactive I-125 seed localization (as well as wire localization), 1,300 stereotactic biopsies, 5,500 breast MRIs, 900 MR-guided biopsies, 24,500 breast sonograms and 2,600 sonographically-guided breast biopsies/aspirations. The fellow is actively involved in the interpretation of examinations, performance of procedures, and consultation with referring physicians.
This fellowship also provides extensive clinical experience in body CT and ultrasound. The fellow actively participates in the performance and interpretation of studies, as well as in consultations with clinical staff.
Our state-of-the-art equipment includes fourteen digital mammography units, fourteen 1.5-T and 3-T MRI scanners, a dedicated breast MR biopsy table, ten PET/CT scanners, two SPECT-CT scanners, twelve CT scanners (16- and 64-slice and dual-energy), and twelve ultrasound units. Fellows attend and participate in various multidisciplinary clinical conferences. They are also required to participate with the faculty in clinical research projects.
On-call responsibilities at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center are shared by radiology residents, fellows (in parallel), and an overnight faculty radiologist.

Eligibility
US applicants must be board-eligible or board-certified in radiology, as well as have a License to Practice Medicine in New York State before the start of the fellowship. Foreign applicants must obtain ECFMG certification, a clinical visa, and a Limited Permit or a full License to Practice Medicine in New York State prior to the fellowship. MSKCC sponsors H-1B and E-3 visas for this program.
