The Patient and Family Advisory Council for Quality (PFACQ) brings the patient, family member, and caregiver voice into the delivery of healthcare at MSK. Our role in the MSK community helps contribute to an increased awareness of patient and family member needs and expectations, which results in continuous improvement of outstanding care.
Our advisors share their voice and unique perspectives alongside MSK staff to shape decisions and ideas that ultimately impact the patient and family member experience.
You might be expected to:
- Participate on committees
- Promote awareness of opportunities that impact patients and family members
- Collaborate with staff in the development of MSK clinical spaces or facilities
- Generate ideas to enhance communication between clinical staff, hospital administration, patients, and family members
Advisors have the option to participate in long-term monthly committees or short-term projects. Each type will be discussed and you will have the option to select what works best for your schedule. Meetings usually last one to two hours.Back to top
