Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center’s redesigned website, www.mskcc.org, has been nominated for Best Health Website for the 16th Annual Webby Awards. Our website, which receives more than five million visits per year, is one of the primary ways that we communicate our mission of furthering cancer care, research, and education. We were selected among the best from nearly 10,000 entries.
The Webby Awards have been hailed as the “Internet’s highest honor” by The New York Times. The nominees and winners are selected by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences, comprising web industry experts including media mogul Arianna Huffington, Skype CEO Tony Bates, Instagram co-founder Kevin Systrom, and Rovio CEO Mikael Hed.
As part of this honor, our website is eligible for The Webby Awards’ “People’s Voice Award,” which fans across the globe can vote for online. You can cast your vote until Thursday, April 26.
Winners will be announced on Tuesday, May 1, and honored at a ceremony on Monday, May 21, at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City.
