I am a board-certified medical oncologist with expertise in the area of breast cancer and gynecologic malignancies. I came to Memorial Sloan Kettering Sleepy Hollow in 1999, following many years of experience in academic oncology and clinical research. My research interest focused on novel agents in people with solid tumors as well as innovative therapies in the treatment of breast cancer. At MSK Sleepy Hollow, I work in an environment that allows me to provide the best possible care to my patients. I also have enjoyed the opportunity to educate other healthcare providers in the Westchester community.
At MSK Sleepy Hollow, we are continuously involved in and updated about evolving technology, basic science, and clinical research by attending a variety of clinical and research meetings with our colleagues from multiple specialties. I am an active member of MSK’s Breast Medicine Service and Breast Disease Management Team, which meets regularly to discuss the latest breast cancer specific breakthroughs and to discuss our standard of care throughout MSK. We also have the unique opportunity to discuss the management of individual patients with our group of breast cancer experts so that our patients receive the best possible care. In addition, our patients have the opportunity to participate in state-of-the-art clinical trials in a convenient location. I enjoy spending time with my patients so that they completely understand their particular situation, are fully informed, and feel comfortable about their treatment options.
At MSK Sleepy Hollow, patients receive outstanding cancer care in a warm, friendly environment. It gives me great pleasure to work with a highly experienced multidisciplinary team on site, most of whom have been at MSK Sleepy Hollow for many years, including radiation oncologists, oncology nurses, a social worker, a nutritionist, and research assistants who are all dedicated to providing outstanding care to our patients. As a member of MSK’s regional network, I afford patients the same clinical excellence as in any of the other facilities throughout MSK but with the convenience of receiving their care close to home.
