I am a diagnostic radiologist with expertise in body imaging, particularly imaging of genitourinary malignancies. I am a professor of radiology at Weill Cornell Medical College and Chief of the Body Imaging Service at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. My current research is translational, aimed at transferring new multimodality functional imaging techniques from the laboratory to clinical use. In collaboration with my colleagues in the Departments of Surgery, Medicine, and Pathology, I am studying the interactions between imaging phenotype and genotype of malignant genitourinary tumors. My research in imaging genitourinary malignancies has been dedicated to the application of functional MRI techniques, and PET/CT aimed at developing robust biomarkers of tumor response to treatment in patients with ovarian and prostate cancer as well quantification of tumor heterogeneity.
As a member of multiple committees and advisory boards, including chair of the Oncology Imaging Refresher Course and member of the Oncologic Imaging and Therapies Task Force of the Radiology Society of North America, I spearhead educational programs in genitourinary radiology. I am also a Fellow of the International Society for Magnetic Resonance Imaging in Medicine and the International Cancer Imaging Society. I have written numerous books and papers in my areas of interest and have lectured extensively nationally and internationally. I serve on the editorial boards of several journals and am the head of the Oncology Section of European Radiology.
Before joining the MSK staff in 2012, I was a university lecturer in radiology and specialty teaching director (radiology) at the University of Cambridge, United Kingdom, as well as an honorary consultant radiologist at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge, where I served for seven years as the lead clinician for gynecology imaging.

Research is integral to our mission at Memorial Sloan Kettering, and clinical trials help us discover better forms of patient care and treatment. For you, this could mean access to a new therapy or therapy combination. Click to see a list of the trials I’m currently leading.
